July kicks off tomorrow in a most appropriate venue.

Indiana is the sight for many of Tennessee's finest as they prepare for the all important July open period.

Indianapolis will hold serve with two big events the adidas Invitational and one of the nation's longest running events the Hoosier Shootout.

Adidas Invitational

In the 17 and under division 32 teams comprise the Super Pools. In the Super Pool division the Memphis Magic Elite will represent the Volunteer state along with the Nashville Celtics, Team Thad and Team Nashville.

The remaining 108 teams comprise the majority of the field and from Tennessee we will represent with the Chattanooga Ragin Storm, Tennessee Tigers, Memphis Phenoms, Tennessee Chosen Few-Black and the Tennessee Chosen Few-Red.

In the 16 and under division, Team Thad is the lone representative competing in the Super Pools. Leron Black (White Station), Chris Chiozza (Bartlett) and C.J. Anderson (Arlington) want to continue their claim as the best 16 and under squad in the country.

Rounding out the 16 and under field from Tennessee we will have the Nashville Celtics, Select Basketball and Team Nashville.

The Memphis Magic Elite are the lone 15 and under squad competing in the Super Pool while the Nashville Celtics will be the only other Volunteer state squad in the field.

Hoosier Shootout

Across town the iconic Hoosier Shootout will tip off with a solid representation from Tennessee. In the 17 and under field the Chattanooga Steam, Franklin Fury, Tennessee Travelers, Tennessee Thunder and Tennessee Velocity will hit the hardwood running.

In the 16 and under division the Tennessee Travelers, Franklin Fury, Tennessee Panthers, Tennessee Team Hustle and the Chattanooga Elite will all fight for the crown.

The Tennessee Tigers and the Chattanooga Elite are the lone representatives in the 15 and under division.

I am leaving for Indianapolis tomorrow so look for me and I hope to see everyone on the court.
