The start of the July period can only mean one thing, yes the Hoosier Shootout begins tomorrow.
Tennessee will be well represented in Indianapolis with seven teams in the 17 and under division, three in the 16's and two in the 15's.
Team Nashville will compete in Pool 1A and are looking for big things from their core, Teraes Clemmons (Mt. Juliet), Fred Lee (Maplewood) and Robert Wade (Maplewood). As is generally the case in these events someone else always seems to shine in the most important month of the summer. Look for big things from Maxwell Ugjobia (Hillwood) and (McGavock).
Cory Stanton (Springfield) gets ready to embark on basically his first summer tour and the expectations are high for this talented lead guard. Schools have been very interested in his services and wish to see him compete against the highest level of competition which he will do this month.
The Tennessee Tigers will tangle with the opponents in Pool 9C and hope to get the maximum from their deep roster. Michael Bradley (Tyner Academy) is drawing a great deal of attention from the coaches.
The Tennessee Travelers embark on another favorable July with a stop in Indy and will be in Pool 14A. Jalen Steele (Fulton) will see a dramatic spike in his recruitment come the finale of this month and deservedly so, I might add. Tyler Hood (Lenoir City) is also about to makes some heads turn with his skill level and ability to put the ball in the bucket.
The remainder of the Tennessee squads include:
Murfreesboro Stars (Pool 13C)
Nashville Celtics Green (Pool 10A)
Team West Tennessee (Pool 24C)
Tennessee Heat (Pool 6A)
Malcolm Smith (Clarksville Academy) leads the Middle Tennessee Magic on their quest for gold in the 16 and under division. The Magic will play in Pool 30C. Zavion Williams (Clarksville) should have some people singing his praises by, I guess, the midweek portion of the event, can't wait to hear from them.
Andre Brown (Clarksville Northwest) leads Team Nashville 16's in their search for the championship. Team Nashville will compete in Pool 34A.
Rico White (Bearden) brings the funk for the 16 and under Travelers as they play in Pool 31A. Prepare for some good effort from eventual scoring leader Galen Campbell (Fulton).
Craig "The Professor" Bradshaw (Greenbrier) leads the Travs 15 and under squad, as they tangle in Pool 44A. Big things poppin for Jaylen Allen (Science Hill) and Braylen "Vitamin B" Bennett (Knoxville Carter).
Also in the 15 and under team list are the Tennessee Tigers who will compete in Pool 43C.
