Evan Ragsdale (CPA) and Jimmy Greer (East Nashville) led a group of seven players in double figures with 23 and 20 respectively leading Tennessee to a massive opening week win over Vanderbilt 107-59. Joining the duo in the score book were Jarrell Reeves (Blackman) with 12 and a foursome of hoopers who finished with 11 points including Jaden Lewis (Summit), Jacob Nelson (Blackman), Trent Gibson (Blackman) and John Carter (Summit).
Eric Thompson (White's Creek) led Vanderbilt with 16 followed closely by Kody Eden (Station Camp) with 13 markers.
Tennessee (1-0) puts their perfect record on the line this Saturday at CPA against Clemson (0-1) while Vanderbilt (0-1) looks to rebound against Kentucky (1-0).
Duke 91
Clemson 72
Grayson Murphy (Independence) was sensational dropping 18 markers as Duke behind a five pack of double digit scorers bested Clemson 91-72 this past Saturday at the opening weekend of the Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League.
Murphy was remarkable and was assisted in the scoring column by Damion Baugh (Cane Ridge) with 15, Evan Heskje (McGavock) with 12 and Malcolm Walker (Independence) and Taveras Hailey (MLK) with 10 each.
Bryce Williams (Blackman) led all scorers with 21 for Clemson in the loss. Brandon Dansoh (Cane Ridge) chipped in with 14, Deonte Alley (Blackman) added 12 and Trey Phifer (Big Sandy) added 11 in the tough loss.
Duke (1-0) looks to remain unblemished as they tangle with fellow unbeaten Virginia (1-0) this Saturday at CPA. Clemson (0-1) looks to bring down Tennessee (1-0).
Kentucky 99
Florida 86
Balance was the order of the day for Kentucky, as 6 players went for double digits led by rising junior Clay Washburn (CPA) with 17 and brought home a 99-86 win over Florida.
Helping out in the score book were Walter Crawford (Mt. Pleasant) with 14, Ruot Monyyong (White's Creek) added 13, Ross Cummings (Creek Wood) with 12 and D'Marco Holley (White's Creek) and Dean Cooper (CPA) with 11 each.
Calvin Bak (Alabama) led all scorers with 22 points while Mike Parker (Centennial) played an outstanding game scoring 21 points and accumulating double digit assists.
Kentucky (1-0) looks to keep their win streak alive as they welcome Vanderbilt (0-1) this Saturday at CPA while Florida (0-1) looks to right the ship against Auburn (1-0).
Virginia 83
North Carolina 66
Kenny Cooper (FRA) was at it again scoring 21 points and leading his squad, Virginia to a win at the opening day of the Nashville Fall League 83-66 over North Carolina.
Cooper was magnificent controlling the tempo of the fast paced game and found time to dish out several dimes including many to Christian Bell (Mt. Juliet) who finished with 20 markers himself. Tyler Faulkenberry (Mt. Juliet) added 10 in the victory.
Brad Allen (Rossview) was high man for North Carolina with 15 followed by Matthew Norl (Kenwood) with 13, Austin Fisher (Clarksville Academy) with 11 and Cannon Campbell (Rossview) with 10.
Virginia (1-0) looks to stay among the unbeaten as they welcome fellow winner Duke (1-0) this Saturday at CPA. North Carolina (0-1) needs the bounce back as they open things up this Saturday against Syracuse (0-1).
Auburn 101
Syracuse 62
Caleb Hollander (Home School) and James Coe (Jackson County) proved a very dynamic duo scoring 31 and 25 respectively as Auburn broke the century mark with a 101-62 win over Syracuse.
Parker Suedekum (Brentwood Academy) chipped in with 14 while Dequan Summers (Hillwood) and Jonathan Howard (Cane Ridge) added 10 each in the victory.
Kevin Rimmer (Ezell-Harding) led Syracuse with 14 points followed closely by Case Bouldin (Ravenwood) and Jake West (Aaron Academy) with 13 and Austin Jackson (Rossview) with 10.
Auburn (1-0) awaits a date with Florida (0-1) while Syracuse (0-1) looks to make things happen on the correct side of the ledger as they tangle with North Carolina (0-1)
