The Holidays always bring exciting Hoops action to the masses and this year was no exception. A few of the Holiday tourneys we were able to ascertain some information about are as follows:
Great 8 Holiday Classic
Austin Peay signee Tyrone Caldwell gathered MVP honors leading Clarksville to a 52-48 championship game victory over Memphis Central. Caldwell finished with 19. Tim Peete led Central with 16.
Overton Christmas Classic
Ish Sanders had a gigantic week leading his Cleveland Blue Raiders to a championship win against Rossview 74-67. Sanders finished with 19. Jonathan Williams led Rossview with 20.
Nera White Invitational
Vanderbilt commitment John Jenkins scorched the nets for 24 and led his Station Camp squad to a 52-40 title game victory over Westmoreland.
Gulf Shores Shootout
Gary Pope dropped 21 and Daniel McFadden added 13 as Ensworth slipped past Bartow Co (FL.) 60-59 to capture the championship at the Gulf Shores Shootout.
Midway Holiday Classic
Heritage got 15 markers from Charlie Hardwick and 14 from Michael Haynes to help lead them to a championship at the Midway Holiday Classic 62-43 over Claiborne County.
Walton Sun Shootout
Drew Kelly was dominant in this event scoring 28 points and grabbing 16 boards while leading his Centennial squad to the title of the Walton Sun Shootout in Fort Walton Beach Florida.
Civitan Club Invitational
Antioch showed they hadn't lost a step dispatching of McGavock 77-51 to capture the Civitan Club Invitational title. Kyle Upton finished with 21 for Antioch. He was joined in the scoring column by Tahj Wells with 18.
East Literature Holiday Classic
Ian Clark gathered MVP honors while leading Germantown to a 64-38 thrashing of Arlington in the championship game of the East Literature Holiday Classic. Preston Laird chipped in 17. Trey Jackson led Arlington with 14 markers.
Father Ryan Christmas Tourney
Jonta Bowman and Antwaun Majors scored 18 and 17 respectively to lead Mt. Juliet past Brentwood 51-46 and capture gold in the Father Ryan Christmas Tourney.
Williamson County Invitational Tourney
Rayshawn Walker and Jamarious Alderson did most of the scoring damage and Clarksville Northeast finished off Ravenwood 61-49 to capture the title at the Williamson County event. Keith Morris led Ravenwood with 19.
