Happy Holidays…..Week #5 Scoring Leaders Ready to Rumble

Once again I have scoured the newspapers, faxes, twitters and other forms of media that come to my attention compiling a list of the top scorers in the state for each week of the season.

If you know of some scoring exploits or a scoring milestone such as 1,000 point club or something of that nature please email me at andre@tnprephoops.com and I will get this added to the next week’s story.

If you know of someone who scored over 25 points and they did not make the list please let me know and I will add them to the following weeks list.

College coaches have told me this is one of their favorite features as it helps them get an understanding on the pulse of the new season.

Isaac Edmiston (Maryville) etched his name in Rebel folklore forever as the rising senior four man scored his 1,000 point this past week.

Joey Magnifico (St. Benedict) might have the best name in the state and his game was strong this past week. Magnifico was magnificent scoring 26 against MHEA and adding 28 against Covington.

Grayson Ball (Sullivan North) had himself the game of a lifetime this past week. The senior post notched 16 markers, snatched 19 caroms, dished out 10 dimes and swatted 10 shots to record a quadruple-double in a win over Happy Valley.

Brennan Bowling (Fayette Academy) is putting up big numbers in West Tennessee. The senior guard notched 32 points in a win over MarshallAcademy.

Clay Leatherwood (Gatlinburg-Pittman) is putting together a strong senior season. The shooting guard pushed past the 1,000 point barrier for the Highlanders.

KeVaughn Russell (Hunter's Lane) is quietly making some noise in the Mid-State area. Russell notched 27 points in a big win this past week over LaVergne.

Tristan Noe (Claiborne) is catching some attention in the upper East Tennessee landscape. The senior guard dropped a cool 32 against Pigeon Forge followed up by 25 against William Blount.

Nathan Moran (BGA) has his Wildcats rolling along at 12-1. Moran had himself a week to brag about scoring 30 points in a big victory over FRA. In the win Moran passed the 1,000 point plateau for his career.

Freddie Williams (Douglass) is second half of the dynamic backcourt duo making headlines all over the West Tennessee landscape. Williams, along with LaGerald Vick (Douglass), have put the rest of the Class AA scene on notice.
