The basketball season has begun. Football is now officially over and the hardwood becomes the main attraction around the state. I have once again scoured the earth, from Bristol to Brighton bringing you the most comprehensive scoring list in the state. This has become one of our most favorite entries as college coaches have told me often how they look at the list weekly. We will have profiles from some of the top performers and a list of scoring over 25 points from East, Middle and West Tennessee.

A veritable potpourri of seniors joined the all exclusive 1,000 point club for their respective schools. What a classic list for anyone who has followed this list the past four years these guys have occupied many spots along the way.

Putting up numbers has been the formula for Class of 2018 point guard Leland Kirkendoll (KIPP). A transfer from Southwind, Kirkendoll posted games of 36 against MSE, 35 points against WEB Dubois, 27 against Grad Academy and finally 26 against Freedom Prep in the past couple weeks.
Pay close attention to what happens with 6'0 lead guard Chase Freeman (Station Camp). He has been lighting the scorebooks on fire with his point production antics. a 31 spot against Wilson Central followed by 27 against Gallatin and 26 versus Mt. Juliet.
Another small guard having a sterling final season is Josh Releford (David Crockett). The shooting sensation busted 35 against Unicoi County and had a solid week including a 25 spot against Daniel Boone.
Bet you never heard of Kavion Hancock (Sheffield), Memphis has no good AA schools right? Wrong this kid has Sheffield on the way. how about 27 against Westwood, 26 against Douglass and 25 against MLK Prep.
Senior guard Nygil Arms (Columbia Academy) wants to go back to the state tournament. The slender scorer had games of 34 vs. MTCS, 30 against Mt. Pleasant and 25 against Grace Christian this past couple weeks.
Isaiah McClain (Harriman) had himself a solid couple weeks scoring 40 against Oakdale, 32 and 29 in heated rivalry games against district champion Grace Christian. He also secured his future hoop destination committing to Bryan College.
Down Memphis way sits another basketball haven in the small town of Ripley. The newest worthy mention is senior shooting guard Famous Jones (Ripley). He busted 32 in a tourney loss to White's Creek and another 26 point effort against Covington.
Tairell Fletcher (West Creek) is simply a scoring sensation. The Clarksville native has lit up the score boards in the area with a 33 point effort against Northwest, another 30 against Rossview and a cool 28 against Clarksville.
