Jose Agosto (Gatlinburg-Pittman) came to the mountain of East Tennessee a couple of years ago with a dream to play basketball on the next level.
Today his wish was granted when the 6'5 combo forward committed to play his college basketball at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
Canisius plays in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and is coached by Tom Parrota.
The Griffs are getting a tough minded player who can score off the block and create some opportunities with his outside shot and ability to put the ball on the floor and finish.
Agosto becomes the 20th player in the Class of 2011 to sign D1.
Agosto led the Highlanders to one of the finest seasons in school history. They were ranked as high as #2 in the A.P. polls and finished the season in the regional semi-finals.
