Accidentally ommitted from the 17 and under previews the Franklin Rage begin their torrent summer run with a trip to Houston for the Kingwood Classic.
The Rage are unique in that they are comprised of players from Franklin High School only. This gives them a great chance to develop chemistry for the season and beyond.
Leading the way for the Rage are a strong group of backcourt players including Michael Young, Kevin Kegarise, Peyton Henry and Dabrelle McLemore.
Young is recieving some D1 interest and Kegarise is arguably one of the best shooter in the mid-state. Henry provides quality minutes and the freshman McLemore has potential written all over him.
On the wing the Rage turn to Daniel Miller-McLemore, Reed Glover and Jamal Starnes. Starnes is quite the athlete and all three players can play multiple positions.
Inside the props rest oin the big shoulders of James Haddix. At 6'9 the big man will get his fair share of touches this summer. Other insdie contributors are Logan Nelson and Jordan Lindsey.
In the 17 and under division of the Kingwood the Volunteer state is represented by the Memphis Hoopers in Pool CC. The Hoopers bring talented Reginald Buckner (Manassas) on this trip.
The Tennessee YOMCA Tigers begin their summer in Pool SS and are more than ready to make some noise. The Tigers are led by John Jenkins (Station Camp), Zaccheus Mason (CPA), Demonte Simpson (Bearden) and Gary Pope (Ensworth).
The Rage will represent in Pool FFFF and the Nashville Stallions are in Pool DDDD.
Updates from the tourney will be posted.
