Edwards Drops 47 in a tough loss during Week #2 Rocky Top Fall League action

Week #2 brought us more of the same as teams moved their way into division contention and the games were a pleasure to behold. Here are the breakdowns from this past Thursday night Rocky Top Fall League action.

Team Buell 74

Chase Morgan (Concord Christian) and Reece Pride (William Blount) dropped 25 points each as a shorthanded Team White got past a determined Team Buell 82-74 to open up the action at the Rocky Top Fall League.

Pride, who plays for Team Buell, graciously came over to the other squad so the game could be played. Thank you young man.

Aiden Lacey (Pigeon Forge) and Lucas Searcy (Oak Ridge) added 13 each in the win.

Charlie Rice (Maryville) had another outstanding game in defeat dropping a game high 35 markers.

Riley Everett (William Blount) added 15 in the loss while Davis Ernsberger (Maryville) closed with 12.
Team White (1-1) puts that win streak on the line this coming Thursday against unbeaten Team Feltner (2-0)
Team Buell (0-2) is poised to get into the win column against a very good Team Dawson (0-2)

Team Dawson 108
Team Cate 67

Danny Stanton (Sevier County) had a huge game with 37 markers as Team Dawson stayed unbeaten with a 108-67 triumph over Team Cate.

Jaylon Greene (Knoxville Webb) made his Rocky Top debut special with a 24 spot while Caleb Tarwater (Sevier County) added 20 and Altin Perry (FBA) closed with 12.

Jackson Garner (Clinton) led Team Cate with 19 followed closely by Luke Carter (CAK) with 17 and Damin Holt (Fulton) with 15.

Team Dawson (2-0) puts their perfect record on the line next week against a determined Team Buell (0-2) while Team Cate (1-1) ;looks to bounce back against Team Garner (0-2).

Team Feltner 88
Team Garner 85

Trey Morrow (Scott) dropped 34 points as Team Feltner remained unblemished on the season with a come from behind 88-85 victory over Team Garner.

Nick Liakonis (Hardin Valley) added 18 in the win while Jaylen Roberts (Karns) finished with 10.

Tahj Kimber (Fulton) was outstanding in the narrow loss finishing with a game high 35 points.

Joining him in the scorebook were Tyler Lee (Fulton) with 17, Austin Heard (Powell) with 15 and Gage Hutchison (Carter) with 10.

Team Feltner (2-0) looks to stay up top the Prestige Division as they battle Team White (1-1) this Thursday evening.

Team Garner (0-2) is determined to change the landscape as they welcome Team Cate (1-1).

Team Biven 99
Team Chandler 86

Team Biven used a balanced scoring attack to overcome a 47 point effort from Tennessee commitment B.J. Edwards (Knoxville Catholic) to finish with a 99=86 victory.

Luke Lentz (Knoxville Webb) led a host of five players in double digits with 25 markers.

He was assisted in the scoring column by Will Biven (Knoxville West) with 19, Gabriel Pastrana (Knoxville West) with 15, Dillon Atwell (Farragut) with 14 and Isaiah Smith (Farragut) with 12.

Assisting Edwards in score book was Ayden Routon (South Doyle) with 23.

Team Biven (1-1) hopes to stay hot as they welcome Team Ingram (1-1) while Team Chandler (0-2) jumps in with both feet against Team Lane (0-2).

Team Pearce 109
Team Lane 81

Blue Cain (Knoxville Catholic) was magnificent scoring a game high 34 points as Team Pearce remained unbeaten with a 109-81 win over Team Lane.

Cain was joined in the scoring column by Josiah Brown (Grace Christian) with 23, Yesan Warren (Knoxville Catholic) with 14 and Grady Blanton (Gatlinburg-Pittman) with 13.

Team Lane placed five guys in double digits led by Nick Johnson (Maryville) with 25.

Robbie Eldridge (Maryville) finished with 14, Brandon McGhee (Anderson County) with 13, Connor Martin (Anderson County) with 11 and Bennett Lane (Knoxville Halls) with 10.

Team Pearce (2-0) looks to remain unbeaten as they tangle with fellow unbeaten Team Holt (2-0) for the early top spot in the Worldwide Division.

Team Lane (0-2) battles Team Chandler (0-2) this coming Thursday night.

Team Ingram 88

Darian Bailey (Bearden) led a six-pack of double digits scorers as Team Holt remained unbeaten with a 100-88 victory over a very good Team Squad.

Bailey was assisting in the box score by Hayden Moseley (Bearden) with 20, Emmanuel Atkins (Grainger) added 18. Keishawn Bowman (Knoxville West) finished with 14 and Jaxson Williams (Grainger) and Dallas Carbaugh (Farragut) closed with 10 each.

Elijah Bredwood (Bearden) led all scorers with 33 in the loss.

Jordan McCollom (Harriman) added 18 while Wyatt Shomaker (Bearden) and Nick Ellis (Knoxville Central) finished with 15 and 14 respectively.

Team Holt (2-0) steadies itself for a Worldwide Division showdown with fellow unbeaten Team Pearce this Thursday night.

Team Ingram (1-1) looks to bounce back against a surging Team Biven (1-1).
