Doin work.

Thats what is happening up in the quaint little town of Jefferson City as the coaching staff continues pounding the pavement in search of future Carson Newman Eagles.

Trey Carrouthers (Harpeth) is their latest find.

No secret to those of us on the circuit, "The Golden Child" brings athleticism and a desire to win over from a successful high school program at Harpeth.

Playing hard and competing is phase one of his mantra and the members of the SAC better be prepared for whats headed their direction.

Capable of playing either guard spot, Trey, who balled the past few summers with the Mid-State Ballerz, has superb vision, is unselfish and can score off the dribble or filling the lane in transition, where if your not careful he'll pull the lefty out and put you on U-Tube.

His game will come full circle with a more consistent jumper and as he matures his decision making will do the same. Never question his desire to win or compete, which is second to none.

The commitment of Carrouthers coupled with the earlier pledge of 6'8 Joe Meady (Knoxville Carter) gives the Eagles a serious leg up on their conterparts in the SAC.

Congrats Trey and have a successful senior campaign.
