Dyer County Buzzer Beater Highlights Day One in AA

The game was billed as one of the top first round games in some time. Clash of styles, great coaches, exciting players what more could you ask for.

This one did'nt disappoint.

Rex Pierce knocked down an off-balance buzzer beater lifting Dyer County to a 70-69 victory against the Lions of CPA.

The game was all Dyer County early as Jeremy Kimble scored off the defense and his aggressive mission on the glass. CPA closed the gap to three before the half and had a plan for the second half.

Zacchues Mason was a man among boys inside scoring 28 markers and grabbing 12 boards and helping the Lions take the lead after three.

The game continued back and forth until Pierce's buzzer beater sealed the victory for the Choctaws and they advance to the second round against Knoxville Fulton.  

Kimble led Dyer County in scoring with 20. C.J. Crittendon added 16, including 4 threes, DeJuan Taylor added 12 and Justin Blake finished with 10.

Hunter Miller scored 15 for CPA in the loss.

The Falcons came to play.

Dominique Minor scored 20 and junior James Gallman added 19 as the boys from K-Town finished off the Wildcats 92-55. Fulton took the early lead and never let up. Sophomore Jalen Steele added 16 for the Falcons and senior point Shannon Hollingsworth finished with 10.

Chase Dunn led the Wildcats with 22. Todd Smith finished with 12.
