Division Shake-Ups Highlight Week #5 at Rocky Top Fall League

A shakeup in the standings makes this week very interesting for those in the Harris Division. Here's how the action went this past Saturday at Catholic.

 

 

 

Team Sharp 76

Team Steinmetz 67

Conley Hamilton (Powell) led a group of five with double digits with 15 as Team Sharp knocked Team Steinmetz from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 76-67 win in Rocky Top Fall League action at Knoxville Catholic.

Bryson Newman (Knoxville Halls) scored 11 of his 13 in the second half as Team Sharp held their narrow margin until the end. Tyler Mullins (Gibbs) added 11 while Quamire Reed (Knoxville Central) and Luke Shoffner (Union County) chipped in with 10 each in the win.

Tyler Steinmetz (Oakdale) led all scorers with 27 in the loss. Geevontay Gee (Oak Ridge) added 18 and Thomas Carroll (Wartburg Central) pitched in 10.

Team Sharp (2-2) looks to break a three-way tie for the third spot in the Harris Division as they battle Team Morton (0-4).

Team Steinmetz (3-1) looks to battle back and hold on to their division lead as they welcome Team Jones (2-2) into the fray.

 

 

Team Upchurch 99

Team Morgan 61

Team Upchurch dropped 20 three pointers and kept their unbeaten streak intact with a 99-61 win over Team Morgan.

Calvin Keeble (Heritage) scored all 26 of his points in the first half, hitting 8 bombs in the process. Easton Upchurch (Maryville) added 22, Blake Ervin (Heritage) managed 21 and Josh Endicott (Upperman) finished with 15 in the win.

Nathan Hastings (Berean Christian) finished with a team high 18 and Gavin Thompson (King's Academy) added 15 for Team Morgan.

Team Upchurch (4-0) takes on Team Lane (2-2) fresh off a big win this past Saturday while Team Morgan (0-4) puts it on the line against Team Feltner (3-1) this Saturday at Concord Christian in Knoxville.

 

 

Team Watts 66

Team Morton 64

Luke Smith (Knoxville Catholic) and rising freshman Trey Davis (Fulton) scored 16 and 15 respectively as Team Watts held off a furious charge defeating Team Morton 66-64. The win moves Team Watts to 3-1 in the Harris Division and a first place tie with Team Steinmetz who suffered their first defeat this weekend.

Davari Reeder (Knoxville Catholic) played his best game of the season for Team Watts scoring 11 timely points.

Donovan Filer (Fulton) led all scorers with 17 for Team Morton. Nathan Hayes (Grainger) added 12 markers.

Team Watts (3-1) brings their gaudy record into the fold against Team Matthews (2-2) this Saturday at lovely Concord Christian in Knoxville.

Team Morton (0-4) looks to finally get over the hump as they tangle with Team Sharp (2-2).

 

 

Team Lane 77

Team Garman 70

Shaquan Gibson (Oak Ridge) led a four-pack of scorers in double digits with 22 as Team Lane got past Team Garman in a high scoring affair 77-70.

E.J. Bush (Oak Ridge) pitched in 19, Tajoin Jones (Oak Ridge) added 15 and Trevor Hensley (Unicoi County) chipped in with 13 in the close victory.

Miles Thomas (South Doyle) put on a show in defeat scoring a game high 27 points. Spencer Lowe (Maryville) chipped in with 14 and Troy Martin (Austin East) added 12.

Team Garman (1-3) looks to bounce back this week at Concord Christian where they will take on Team Sexton (2-2) while Team Lane (2-2) welcomes the division leader Team Upchurch (4-0).

 

 

Team Matthews 61

Team Jones 54

Byric Savage (Cookeville) dropped a game high 22 points as Team Matthews needed everyone of them as they moved to 2-2 with a close 61-54 victory over Team Jones.

Hunter Crouch (Clarkrange) played his best game to date scoring 16 points in the win.

Kenny Bunton (Walker Valley) continued his strong play with 19 markers. Keaton Dotson (Station Camp) and DeAndre Gibson (Oak Ridge) added 12 each in the tough loss.

Team Matthews (2-2) embroiled in a three way tie takes on Team Watts (3-1) this Saturday at Concord Christian in Knoxville.

Team Jones (2-2) looks to right the ship with a late game adventure against Team Steinmetz (3-1).

 

 

Team Feltner 66

Team Sexton 50

Team Feltner got off to a slow start but rallied behind 24 markers from Seth Lenard (Sweetwater) to get past Team Sexton 66-50 in the final game of Week #4 at the Rocky Top Fall League in Knoxville.

Cameron Gregg (Jefferson County) added 11 while Alex Reese (Claiborne) chipped in with 10 in the win. Team Feltner (3-1) welcomes Team Morgan (0-4) this Saturday at Concord Christian.

Rising freshman Grant Ledford (Grace Christian) led Team Sexton in scoring with 12 markers. Team Sexton (2-2) will take on Team Garman (1-3) this Saturday.
