Division Races Clearing Up as Rocky Top D-League Goes into the Homestretch

Week #4 saw some of the division races clearing up and teams moving towards their playoff positioning. The final week of the regular season is upon us tomorrow evening. Lets see what went down in Week #4.

 

Team Boles 76

Team Brewster 75

 

JaMichael Blair (Bearden) led a fearsome foursome of double digit scorers with 19 as Team Boles squeezed out a narrow 76-75 win over a confident Team Brewster in Rocky Top D-League action this past Tuesday.

 

Joining Blair in the scorebook were Marquel Patterson (South Doyle) and Dominic Van Acker (Farragut) with 16 each and T.J. Tipton (South Doyle) with 14 in the win.

 

 Cade Capps (Stone Memorial) had his best game of the season scoring 38 markers including a tough 3 to put Team Brewster up late in the contest.

 

J.D. Harris (Knoxville Central) and Will Meadows (Knoxville Central) scored 12 each in the tough loss.

 

Team Boles (3-1) stands alone in second place in the Jackie Division and will take on Team Bridges (2-2) in the regular season finale.

 

Team Brewster (1-3) looks to close the regular season on a high note as they welcome Team Sewell (0-4) to the fray.

 

 

Team Rogers 94

Drew Brillhart (Bearden) scored a game high 38 as Team Rogers took over sole possession of the Jackie Division at 4-0 with a 94-64 win over Team Sewell.

 

Caden Windle (William Blount) continues to show improvement each and every week dropping 26 markers while high school chum Grady Robertson (William Blount) also had his best game of the season with 20.

 

Lucas Garman (Maryville) continues to shine scoring a team high 21 points in the loss.

 

Kaleb Walker (Powell) added 18.

 

Team Rogers (4-0) looks to finish the regular season unblemished as they take on a surging Team Holt (2-2) tomorrow evening.

 

Team Sewell (0-4) battles Team Brewster in the late contest.

Brady Haun (Alcoa) led a balanced and determined Team Holt with 16 markers to the hard fought over a tough Team Bridges 72-69.

 

Haun was joined in the scoring column by Aaron Layne (Kingston) and Luke Cannon (Alcoa) each with 15 and Dylan Thompson (Maryville) with 10.

 

Shane Cherry (Austin East) and Reed Ownby (Sevier County) scored 32 and 31 points respectively in the loss.

 

Team Holt (2-2) looks to spoil the dance for unbeaten and Jackie Division leader Team Rogers (4-0) tomorrow evening.

 

Team Bridges (2-2) battles for second place against Team Boles (3-1).

 

 

Team Murphy 75

Team Green 74

 

Drake Ingram (Knoxville Webb) netted a game high 24 markers as Team Murphy edged a tenacious Team Green late to the tune of 75-74 to remain unbeaten and in the lead in the Moon Division.

 

Cade Murphy (Union County) finished with 21 in the win while Jalen Pompey (Knoxville Webb) added 20.

 

Zane Brown (Carter) and Drew Branson (Grainger) led five in double digits for Team Green with 19 each.

 

Jailen Hill (Knoxville West) and Baron Sheetz (Hardin Valley) added 12 in the narrow loss.

 

Team Murphy (4-0) closes the regular season on Tuesday against a tough Team Webb (2-2) squad.

 

Team Green (2-2) closes off the regular season against Team Gregory (1-3).

 

 

Team McGhee 71

Cam Salagas (Seymour) and Quez Thomas (Oak Ridge) dropped 17 apiece as Team McGhee placed five in double digits and gathered the victory over Team Webb 71-59.

 

Ty Pryor (Rockwood) added 13 while Brennen Scott (Oak Ridge) and Kaden Brightharp (Oak Ridge) closed with 12 each in the win.

 

Derek Smith (Fulton) led Team Webb with 18 followed closely by Ben Lisher (Knoxville Webb) with 17.

 

Team McGhee (2-2) puts their two game win streak on the line as they close out the regular season against Team Keeton (1-3).

 

Team Webb (2-2) looks to close on a high note against Moon Division leader Team Murphy (4-0).

Jason Gainey (Knoxville West) scored 19 as Team Gregory got into the win column with a 68-65 victory over Team Keeton.

 

Jaden Capshaw (Loudon) added 17 for the victors followed by Brandon Dake (Anderson County) with 11 and Caleb Asbaty (Knoxville Catholic) with 10.

 

Cooper Roberts (FBA) continued his outstanding play scoring a team high 18 in the loss.

 

Gavin Keeton (Oneida) added 12.

 

Team Gregory (1-3) looks to stay on the right side of the winning ledger as they close the regular season against Team Green (2-2).

 

Team Keeton (1-3) takes on a surging Team McGhee (2-2).
