CPA blasted Louisville Butler 73-60 and became the first Tennessee team in 31 years to snatch the championship crown of the prestigious King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic in Kentucky.
Craig "The Professor" Bradshaw (CPA) was sterling in the title game. The Belmont signee finished with 29 points leading the Lions. Jalen Lindsey (CPA) finished with 22 markers and was named the MVP of the event for his superb play over the three day tourney.
Joining Lindsey on the glitter squad from CPA were Bradshaw and rising sophomore Jake Allsmiller (CPA).
Leron Black (White Station) also garnered All-Tournament accolades for his play.
CPA got to the title game with an 85-59 trouncing of the #1 ranked team in the state of Kentucky, Louisville Ballard. Lindsey was high man for the Lions with 23 while Allsmiller added 19. Bradshaw and sophomore Vic Wharton (CPA) finished with 18 each.
White Station finished out the event with a victory over Orange Lutheran of California with Black leading the way with 24 points and 13 caroms. The Spartans then fell to Fairdale 63-57 in overtime lead by freshman guard Nych Smith (White Station) with 11 points.
