Class AAA State Championship Facts and Stats

Southwind captured their first Blue Cross Basketball
Championship title in their inaugural appearance with a sterling 76-53 victory
over Dyer County in the Class AAA state finals. Jujuan Johnson (Southwind) notched 23
points and took home the MVP trophy as well.

 

Johnathan Williams
(Southwind) pitched in 17 markers and Peyton
Hulsey (Southwind) added 14 in the win.

 

Malik Pugh (Dyer County)
led the Choctaws with 13 points followed closely by Mr. Basketball finalist
and Tennessee signee Robert Hubbs (Dyer
County) with 12. Lamarcus Mosley (Dyer County)
added 11 in the loss.

 

As mentioned earlier, Johnson garnered MVP honors. Joining
