The Lions of CPA left no doubt to anyone in our state who
the top dawg in Class AA was going to be as they flew past the Hawks of Jackson
Southside 63-42 to capture their second consecutive gold ball.
Jake Allsmiller (CPA)
recovered a minor shooting slump in the semi-final to post 20 points and
lead the charge for the Lions. Braxton
Blackwell (CPA) pitched in with 12 on the afternoon. Tournament MVP Jalen Lindsey (CPA) finished with 9.
Jaylen Barford
(Jackson Southside) led the Hawks with 13 followed closely by a pair of
talented sophomores in Chris McNeal
(Jackson Southside) and Malik Hicks (Jackson Southside) who finished with
11 and 10 respectively.
As mentioned earlier, Lindsey garnered MVP honors. Joining
