Fresh off the finish of the high school season, the AAU/Summer scene kicks into full gear.

The Chattanooga Elite 16 and under crew made the short trek down to Georgia looking for a tournament to steal.

The Elite made short work of the competition bringing home the crown at the Georgia Warriors Invitational by riding the Dalton Colts 58-36 in the title clash.

Ryan Montgomery (Chattanooga Central) brought home MVP honors with a fine effort for the Elite.

Things got off to a slightly slow start as the Elite edged past the North Georgia Saints in the opener 44-40. The action got much more fast and furious as the Elite beeped the Georgia Roadrunners 57-33 moving into the quarter-finals.

More of the same ensued for the Elite behind some sterling play from Brad McCurdy (Bradley Central). The Elite rode the Dalton Colts to the tune of a 60-42 triumph before slaying the Georgia Warriors in the semi-finals 53-42.

The Elite, coached by former Memphis YOMCA stalwart Keith Easterwood, lauded the play of several players including Isaiah Shropshire (Brainerd), Adrien Thomas (McCallie) and Cory McDonald (McCallie).

The Elite will be in action this weekend hosted their own tournament in Chattanooga.
