The Charles Davis Foundation High School Basketball Showcase tips off December 11th at the Curb Event Center on the campus of Belmont University.
The event will feature six games, four boys and two girls' contests.
At 2:30 in the boys opener Cane Ridge tangles with emerging Hillcrest from Memphis and their sensational point guard Kerrell Davis (Hillcrest). Davis will attend Texas Southern University next season.
Unbeaten Brentwood battles Pearl Cohn at 4:00 and features a great match-up of point guards in Jack "The Natural" Montague (Brentwood) and Arkaylus Thomas (Pearl Cohn).
Mookie Betts (Overton) leads the Bobcats against Memphis Whitehaven in the 5:30 contest. Betts has an outstanding supporting cast including Justin Perry (Overton), Frankie Labasco (Overton) and Cameron Lewis (Overton). Whitehaven features Cincinnati signee Octavious Ellis (Whitehaven) and Tim Allen (Whitehaven).
Closing out the boy's action at 8:30, Maplewood goes head to head with Hunter's Lane. Jaleel Querry (Maplewood) has played well to start his senior campaign and the return of the football players namely, Darryl Clack (Maplewood), will be beneficial as the district foes go at it. Isaac Harris (Hunter's Lane) and Billy Hughes (Hunter's Lane) lead the Warriors.
