Championship Sunday is set. Lets see how the final week of the regular season went down.

 

 

 

Team Lane 55

Team Upchurch 54

Shaquan Gibson (Oak Ridge) led the scoring charge with a game high 23 as Team Lane concluded the regular season on a high note besting Team Upchurch 55-54 in Rocky Top Fall League action this past Saturday at Concord Christian.

Easton Upchurch (Maryville) led his squad with 11 while Josh Endicott (Upperman) added 10.

Team Lane (3-2) finishes in 4th place in the Watson Division and will battle Team Matthews (2-3) at 11:00 next Sunday at Maryville College.

Despite the loss Team Upchurch (4-1) clinched the Watson Division title and will meet Team Steinmetz (4-1) in the title game at 4:00 next Sunday in Blount County.

 

 

Team Sharpe 66

Team Morton 54

Team Sharp used some balanced scoring and came away with the 3rd place spot in the Harris Division with a hard fought 66-54 win over Team Morton.

Quamire Reed (Knoxville Central) led Team Sharpe with 20 followed by rising sophomore Chase Ridenour (Knoxville Webb) with 17 and Conley Hamilton (Powell) with 16.

Team Sharpe (3-2) will take on Team Sexton (3-2) in the 3rd place match up next Sunday at Maryville College.

David Henson (Hardin Valley) poured in a game high 22 points for Team Morton (0-5).

Team Morton will meet Team Morgan (0-5) in the opener next Sunday at Maryville College.

 

 

Team Feltner 93

Team Morgan 84

John Fulkerson (North Carolina) dropped 27 points leading a pack of five in double digits as Team Feltner outscored Team Morgan 93-84 to snatch the 2nd seed in the Watson Division.

Joining Mr. Fulkerson in the score book were Adam Hurd (Carter) and Dustin Day (David Crockett) with 16, Cameron Gregg (Jefferson County) with 15 and Alex Reece (Claiborne) with 10.

Team Feltner (4-1) will take on Team Watts (4-1) in the 2nd place battle next Sunday at Maryville College.

Justin Barnett (Sevier County) took game scoring honors with a season and game high 28 markers. Jake Blaylock (Seymour) and Nathan Hastings (Berean Christian) each finished with 16.

Team Morgan (0-5) will take on Team Morton (0-5) in the opening contest of Championship Sunday next week at Maryville College.

 

 

Team Watts 68

Team Matthews 61

Luke Smith (Knoxville Catholic) and Trey Davis (Fulton) scored 17 and 16 points respectively as Team Watts captured the 2nd place spot in the Harris Division with a 68-61 win over Team Matthews this past Saturday at Concord Christian in Knoxville.

Byric Savage (Cookeville) scored 15 for Team Matthews. Silas Clark (Cumberland County) added 14. Team Matthews (2-3) will take on Team Lane (3-2) next Sunday at Maryville College.

Alex Rather (Farragut) added 12 for Team Watts (4-1) who will do business with Team Feltner (4-1) on Championship Sunday at Maryville College.

 

 

Team Sexton 79

Team Garman 72

C.J. Gettlefinger (Grace Christian) scored a league high 30 markers as Team Sexton secured their spot in the 3rd place game with a 79-72 win over Team Garman.

Fellow rising freshman Grant Ledford (Grace Christian) added 19 for Team Sexton who will meet Team Sharp (3-2) on Championship Sunday at Maryville College.

Miles Thomas (South Doyle) continued his sterling play with 24 points in the narrow loss. Chase Cerny (CAK) added 19, Troy Martin (Austin East) chipped in with 12 and Hunter Reynolds (CAK) added 11.

Team Garman will take on Team Jones (2-3) at Championship Sunday next weekend.

 

 

Team Steinmetz 73

Team Jones 58

Tyler Steinmetz (Oakdale) dropped 18 as Team Steinmetz clinched their place in the title game with a 73-58 win over Team Jones.

Geevontay Gee (Oak Ridge) added 17 and Javion Johnson (Oak Ridge) pitched in with 16 for Team Steinmetz who will meet Team Upchurch in the title clash at Championship Sunday at Maryville College.

Team Jones had four in double digits led by James McRee (Cleveland) with 12, DeAndre Gibson (Oak Ridge) with 11 and Brad McCurdy (Bradley Central) and Kenny Bunton (Walker Valley) with 10.
