Casey Prather (Jackson Northside) dropped 21 points as the Nashville Celtics bluegrassed Team Kentucky by 20 in their opening pool game this morning at the adidas Take 5ive Classic in Cincinnati.

Prather was sensational finishing with the hard slam or the soft floater he played his best in front of a throng of onlookers including North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Memphis, and a slew of others to many to mention.

Austin Hollins (Germantown) pitched in 14, while Cody Henegar (Marion County) added 12 in the win.

Things got tighter in the afternoon as the Celtics playing with massive foul trouble got past the Baltimore Assault 74-73 behind 13 points from Ish Sanders (Cleveland) and 12 from Prather. Meiko Lyles (USN) added 10 in the close victory. Jay Murphy (Bolivar Central) was outstanding in this game from the lead guard spot.

The win puts the Celtics into the 17 and under Platinum bracket and a 9:20 early showdown with the always dangerous D.C. Assault.

Meanwhile the Celtics 16's had a good and bad start to the tourney losing their first round game they came back and held on for a tough overtime win in their second contest. By virtue of points they finished third in the pool despite all three teams being tied at 1-1. Levi Randolph (Alabama) led the green and white with 17 points. DeAndre Barnette (Liberty Tech) and Kendall "Ant Version 2.0" Anthony (Liberty Tech) finished with 12 and 10 respectively. Alex Poythress (Clarksville Northeast) also finished with 10.
