Choctaw Leader Headed to the Colonial

Malik Pugh (Dyer County) patiently waited his turn.

Playing in the shadow of Tennessee freshman Robert Hubbs last season Pugh knew his time would come.

Pugh began his senior season like he was shot out of a rocket.

Breaking single game scoring records and lighting up the Dyer County gym, Pugh had his coming out party at the Penny Hardaway Hoop Fest.

Lions Bringing East Tennessee Talent into the Mix

Local talent is generally the preferred way for coaches to accumulate players for their given rosters.  

Less travel time and state funding are solid reasons for this dynamic as well.

Oh and least we forget the kids got to be able to play.............

No problem here for Coach Don Rekoske and the Lions from Bryan College as they simply raided the East Tennessee landscape signing four player for next fall.

Josh Bougher (CBHS) has been a bit off the radar in the basketball world. An injury kept the rising senior guard from participating last summer but his production as a junior at CBHS and his work the summer before his junior campaign kept him on the short list of several mid-major institutions.
