Catching Up on the State Scoring Lists…

The basketball season has begun. Football is now officially over and the hardwood becomes the main attraction around the state. I have once again scoured the earth, from Bristol to Brighton bringing you the most comprehensive scoring list in the state. This has become one of our most favorite entries as college coaches have told me often how they look at the list weekly. We will have profiles from some of the top performers and a list of scoring over 25 points from East, Middle and West Tennessee.

Congrats are in order for rising senior point guard Jalon Cambridge (PJPII) who became a member of the 1,000 point club this month.

Who is Neil Blanchard (Criagmont)? If you check out this list you know him very well. He appears numerous times every week including this week where he managed 37 against Fairley and a 28 spot against Westwood.

How about some big scoring efforts from around the way including a 50 spot for scoring machine Parrish Hewitt (Douglass). On the other side of the state rising senior point guard Darius Graves (CSAS) dropped 45 in a game against Richard Hardy.

Adam Hurd (Carter) forever puts his name among the greats at Carter High School achieving a place in the 1,000 point club. Congrats Hurd.

Ok folks he may be a football player, a real good football player as evidence he will attend Arkansas in the fall but Chase Hayden (St. George's) is not done making his presence felt on the hardwood. How's this for a couple week resume, 27 markers against St. Benedict's, 27 more against Rossville Christian and finally 36 large against Lausanne.

Who remembers the powerful Hamilton team that captured state behind the elder Lawson brothers? That team featured a sophomore who caught some attention and is really turning heads now. Martell Brooks (Hamilton) is flat out scoring in buckets. 32 against White Station, 31 against Melrose and a cool 25 against Whitehaven.
