Carter @ Bearden (2/14) East Tennessee Game of the Week (4)

It is not a district or region clash. The teams don't even compete in the same classification but Frdiay night at Bearden is a big game for all those concerned.

Bearden, who snatched the #1 ranking in the state polls this week welcomes the Hornets of Carter into the Bulldog den.

Carter stands at 16-7 and has captured the district title in 3AA and will use this contest as a test as they prepare to make an unprecedented third straight trip to the 'boro.

Lester "The Action Figure" Wilson (Carter) leads the way for the Hornets, who still cannot seem to get any love from the A.P. voters.

Guard play will be crucial for Carter and sophomore Anthony "Gumby" Lewis (Carter) will be asked to hold his own against a slew of Beardens finest.

The difference maker in this game could be renewed vigor of junior wing Braylen "Vitamin B" Bennett (Carter). Bennett has played his best ball of the season the past couple of weeks and will be asked to provide scoring and defense in this contest.

The Bulldogs are steady rolling right along for a date with the Murphy Center. The Dawgs stand at 24-2 on the season and have no intention of settling for anything less.

Guard play is the staple of the Bulldogs and their trio of ballers led by Rico White (Bearden), Ty Greene (Bearden) and Dion Fair (Bearden) should have a little something, something for the Hornets.

Two of the best in East Tennessee battle it out, don't miss it.
