Cameron is Golden in Week #2 of the Super 80

Week #2 in the Super 80 tipped off in big fashion with some nice performances and some solid victories.

 

Celtics 51

Knicks 47

Jonathan Burroughs (Ridgeway) notched 21 points leading the Celtics past the Knicks 51-47 in opening game action of Week #2 at the Super 80 Fall League in Memphis. Rhyan Townes (Arlington) pitched in 9 in the victory.

 

Connor Payne (CBHS) led the Knicks with 14 in the loss.

 

 

Bulls 70

Magic 66

Andre Applewhite (Memphis Central) led three teammates in double digits as the Bulls slipped by the Magic 70-66. Applewhite was joined in the scoring column by Myron Johnson (Hamilton) and D'Arrius Sorrell (Memphis Central) both with 15 markers.

 

Matthew Butler (Memphis East) finished with 19 for the Magic taking game high scoring honors in the close loss. Leron Black (White Station) pitched in 17.

 

 

Heat 40

Hawks 38

Donovan Spralls (Briarcrest Christian) scored 10 points and the Heat, in a low scoring affair, bested the Hawks 40-38.

 

Larry Spicer (White Station) and Toderick Davis (Sheffield) each scored 11 in the close loss.

 

 

Thunder 44

Pacers 39

Markel Crawford (Melrose) and Blake Johnson (Southwind) scored 12 and 11 points respectively as the Thunder boomed to a 44-39 win over the Pacers.

 

Carlton McCord (MUS) took game scoring honors with 15 in the loss.

 

 

Suns 52

Spurs 46

Chris Jones (Briarcrest Christian) scored 21 points leading the Suns past the Spurs 52-46.

 

Earvin Morris (Memphis East) chipped in with 11 markers in the victory.

 

Craig Hill (Ridgeway) led the Spurs with 10 points.

 

 

Lakers 72

Grizzlies 71

Cameron Golden (Ridgeway) notched 21 points and the Lakers inched past the Grizzlies in the game of the day 72-71. Golden had superb help with Anthlon Bell (Bartlett) adding 19 points in the victory.

 

Anthony Cole (??) led the Griz with 21 points followed closely by Kadarrio Fleming (Ridgeway) with 18.
