Buzzer Beaters, Double Overtime and More Highlight Week #1 Rocky Top Fall League Action

The Rocky Top High School Fall League got off to a rousing start this past Thursday. Close games, Overtime contests, buzzer beaters and more highlight the landscape. Here are the breakdowns for league action.

Team White 101

 

Jackson Garner (Clinton) nailed a 3 with ticks on the clock in the second overtime leading Team Cate to tough 103-101 victory over a determined Team White.

 

One of the best games ever in the Rocky Top Fall League was highlighted by 37 markers from Damin Holt (Fulton) in the win.

 

Garner added 29 including the game winner.

 

Desmir Hatchett (Fulton) and Lane Harrison (Clinton) added 11 each in the win.

 

Colby Raymer (Kingston) and Kell Slater (Oak Ridge) dropped 25 and 24 respectively in the narrow defeat.

 

Jose Rodriguez (Concord Christian) added 14 while Chase Morgan (Concord Christian) pitched in with 12.

 

Team Cate (1-0) puts that unblemished mark on the line this Thursday against Team Dawson (1-0) while Team White (0-1) looks to bounce back against Team Buell (0-1)

J.J. Faulkner (Karns) and Trey Morrow (Scott) led five scorers in double digits with 18 each as Team Feltner moved into the win column with a 92-62 triumph over Team Buell.

 

Luke West (Scott) added 15, Connor Weyant (Northview Academy) pitched in with 14 and Jaylon Roberts (Karns) closed with 12 in the win.

 

Charlie Rice (Maryville) led all scorers with 25 markers in the loss.

 

Davis Ernsberger (Maryville) added 11.

 

Team Buell (0-1) looks to bounce back as they tangle with a very tough Team White (0-1). Team Feltner (1-0) welcomes Team Garner (0-1) this Thursday.

Caleb Tarwater (Sevier County) tipped in a missed shot at the buzzer lifting Team Dawson to a narrow 72-71 win over Team Garner in Thursday night action at the Rocky Top Fall League.

 

Danny Stanton (Sevier County) took game high scoring honors with 21 in the win.

 

Cooper Takas (Sevier County) and Terrence Dorsey (Alcoa) dropped 13 each while Connor Hilton (Seymour) added 10 in the win.

 

Denaj Kimber (Fulton) and Taj Kimber (Fulton) led the scoring brigade for Team Garner with 18 and 17 respectively.

 

Austin Heard (Powell)  added 14 while Eli Walls (Powell) closed with 11.

 

Team Dawson (1-0) puts their untarnished mark on the line this Thursday against fellow unbeaten Team Cate (1-0).

 

Team Garner (0-1) looks to bounce back on the correct side of the win column as they take on Team Feltner (1-0) this Thursday.

Balanced scoring put six guys in double digits as Team Pearce survived a last second miss to escape with an 87-85 win over a determined Team Biven.

 

Blue Cain (Knoxville Catholic) led the balance with 19 markers followed closely by Ty Glasper (Gatlinburg-Pittman) with 13, Spencer Boshears (Campbell County) with 11 and Yesan Warren (Knoxville Catholic), John Long (Campbell County) and Grady Blanton (Gatlinburg-Pittman) with 10 each.

 

Will Biven (Knoxville West) led all scorers with 22 in the narrow defeat.

 

Luke Lentz (Knoxville Webb) added 20 while Gabriel Pastrana (Knoxville West) closed with 14.

 

Team Biven (0-1) looks to bounce back strong as they tangle with Team Chandler (0-1) on Thursday.

 

Team Pearce (1-0) looks to ride the winning momentum into a showdown with Team Lane (0-1).

Elijah Bredwood (Bearden) tied a league high scoring outburst with 37 as Team Ingram bested a very good Team Chandler 95-86 in Thursday night action at the Rocky Top Fall League.

 

Jordan McCollom (Harriman) added 15 markers in the victory.

 

Wyatt Shomaker (Bearden) and Nick Ellis (Knoxville Central) closed with 13 and 12 respectively.

 

B.J. Edwards (Knoxville Catholic) was outstanding in the narrow defeat dropping a 30 spot.

 

Quintin Carr (South Doyle) added 20 while Parker Trammell (Lenoir City) closed with 10 in the loss.

 

Team Chandler (0-1) looks to right the ship this Thursday as they battle Team Biven (0-1).

 

Team Ingram (0-1) looks to stay unbeaten as they welcome Team Holt (1-0).

Darian Bailey (Bearden) closed the days action with 37 large as Team Holt snatched the victory with a 90-79 triumph over Team Lane.

 

Joining Bailey in the scoring column were Hayden Moseley (Bearden) with 16 and Ryan Neal (Farragut) with 15.

 

Robbie Eldridge (Maryville) made his presence felt dropping 28 in the loss.

 

Connor Martin (Anderson County) finished with 15 while Nick Johnson (Maryville) and Bryson Stewart (Maryville) closed with 11 and 10 respectively.

 

Team Holt (1-0) wishes to remain unblemished as they tangle with Team Ingram (1-0) this Thursday.
