With the top two players in the Class of 2009 in Tennessee already committed Reginald Buckner (Manassas) must have thought this is the way to go.

Following the lead of Leslie McDonald (Braircrest Christian), who chose North Carolina and John Jenkins (Station Camp), who chose Vanderbilt, the Manassas star also chose to stay in the SEC and chose the Rebels of Ole Miss.

Buckner, who will run this summer with the Memphis Hoopers, led his squad to a Class A finals appearances a year ago and finished as a runner up for Mr. Basketball.

Buckner chose the Rebels, who are coached by Andy Kennedy, over serious interest from Missouri and UTEP.

Buckner will join fellow Memphian Terrico White (Craigmont), who will be a freshman for the Rebels this upcoming season.
