Action got back underway in Nashville as Week #4 of the Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League tipped back off at CPA. Here are the results of the day's action.
LSU 102
Tennessee 71
Ross Plunkett (Creek Wood) led a balanced scoring attack with five players in double digits as LSU raised their season mark to 2-2 with a 102-71 win over Tennessee. Plunkett, who scored 31 points, led the charge followed by Wesley Harlan (Cheatham County) with 26, Trenton Perry (Independence) with 18, league scoring leader Rob Marberry (FRA) added 17 and Gabe Cummings (Creek Wood) finished with 10.
Vinnie Gaglione (MBA) led the way for Tennessee, which drops to 0-4, with 16 points. Joshua Joy (DCA) added 15, Tanner Newton (Harpeth) finished with 11 and Parker Howell came up with 10 markers in the loss.
LSU puts their pass happy offense on the line against Kentucky this Saturday at CPA while Tennessee looks to get a notch in the win column against Florida.
Clemson 85
Wake Forest 77
Daniel Norl (Kenwood) and Carson Outlaw (DCA) dropped 17 points each as Clemson moved to 4-0 with a narrow 85-77 victory over a hard charging Wake Forest squad.
Joining them in the scoring column Terrell Brown (Lead Academy) added 16 while Braxton Bonds (CPA) finished with a clean double/double with 14 points and a dozen assists. Rising freshman Kenny Cooper (FRA) added 10 points in the victory.
Asa Duvall (Brentwood) finished with 16 points leading Wake Forest who drops to 2-2 on the season. Jacob Williams (Wilson Central) and Joey Barnes (Ravenwood) added 12 each while rising freshman Ross Cummings (Creek Wood) added 11.
Clemson puts its unblemished record on the line this Saturday against North Carolina. Wake Forest will look to rebound as they tangle with Georgia Tech.
Vanderbilt 91
Florida 77
Jaylen Barford (Jackson Southside) exploded for 36 points helping Vanderbilt up their record to 3-1 with a 91-77 win over Florida. Barford had 24 in the second half as Vanderbilt pulled away late. Austin Gee (Ezell-Harding) and Elijah Gonzales (Brentwood) chipped in with 12 points each for the victors.
Rollie Plunkett (Creek Wood) led Florida, who fell to1-3 with 18 markers. Will Jennings (Nashville Overton) chipped in with 13, Christian Smith (Sycamore) added 12 and Austin Brown (Harpeth) finished with 11.
Vanderbilt puts their winning streak on the line as the battle cross division foe Duke this Saturday at CPA. Florida looks to rebound against Tennessee.
North Carolina 73
Duke 63
Terry Holt (East Nashville) and Clay Hertel (DCA) scored 18 and 16 respectively as North Carolina climbed to 3-1 with a hard fought 73-63 win over Duke.
Mason Bates (Cheatham County) played well adding 11 points in the tight victory.
Kindravious Webster (Hillsboro) led all scorers with 20 in the loss. Bryson Baker (East Nashville) finished with 15 and Devin Connor (Cheatham County) added 13 in defeat.
North Carolina puts their 3-1 mark up this weekend against unbeaten Clemson In what should be an outstanding contest. Duke, who fell to 2-2, will tangle with Vanderbilt.
Georgia Tech 90
Kentucky 73
Jacob McCullough (Hendersonville) scored 23 points leading Georgia Tech to a 90-73 victory in the final game Saturday at CPA. Tech snatches their first win of the season behind additional scoring from Adrian Scott (Cane Ridge) with 18, Austin Mullinax (Waverly Central) with 14 and Thomas Booker (East Nashville) and Tyler Dell (Waverly Central) with 12.
Jacob Saunders (Cheatham County) finished with 16 to lead Kentucky who fell to 2-2 on the season. Austin Kirby (Station Camp) and Jalen Duke (MLK) added 15 each for Kentucky.
Georgia Tech will take on Wake Forest this Saturday while Kentucky goes to war against surging LSU.
