Bolivar Star Stays Home… Reaves Headed to The Peay

Chris Reaves (Bolivar Central) has been an interesting player to observe over the past three years.

A gangly freshman who truly worked his tail off to get stronger and develop his game, Reaves is a story every kid in the state should adhere to.

He made himself a player with hard work, listening to his coaches, and believing he could play on the next level.

His hard work and dedication were rewarded yesterday, as Reaves became the latest player in the Class of 2009 to end his recruitment, choosing Austin Peay University.

The Governors, who represented the Ohio Valley in the Big Dance last season, will welcome the sweet shooting Reaves into the fold. He fits right into their style and will again be blessed with an outstanding coach in venerable mentor Dave Loos.

Reaves, who balled this summer with the Nashville Celtics, is a perfect size for a guard at around 6'5 and as he gets event stronger his ability to create his own opportunities will increase.

Congrats to Chris and thanks for the memories.

Now the business at hand is helping lead Bolivar Central back to their rightful place in the Murphy Center come March.
