Hall of Fame games, I think not this is the power of the West, sprinkled with a dash of the Middle, going at it to see where they stand very early in the season. I love it.

This Friday and Saturday at legendary Bolivar Central High School, a cavalcade of serious hoops comes your way with a slate of games that will brighten up any hoops fans pre-holiday blues.

As if this weren't enough to make hoop junkie heaven, the Bolivar staff will retire the jersey of former Tiger great and University of Tennessee future legend Wayne Chism on Saturday evening.

Action kicks off on Friday night with the Bolivar ladies battling at 4:30.

A battle of two of the final four teams in Class AA at last years state tournament commences at 6:00 as runner-up Liberty Tech behind Richmond signee Kendall Anthony (Liberty Tech) and DeAndre Barnette (Liberty Tech), a Northern Illinois signee battle Marshall County and wunderkind Kedren Johnson (Marshall County).

Johnson, a Vanderbilt signee, is assisted in the backcourt by sophomore Kevin Peterson (Marshall County) and senior wing Jordan Anderson (Marshall County).

At 7:30 the defending Class AA state champions Bolivar Central tangle with Memphis powerhouse Ridgeway.

Bolivar returns senior guard Oneal Woods (Bolivar Central), Desmond Robertson (Bolivar Central) and a pair of up and coming juniors Tyler Price (Bolivar Central) and DeAndre McKinnie (Bolivar Central).

Cameron Golden (Ridgeway) leads this Memphis powerhouse who was hit hard by the graduation ceremony. Kadarrio Fleming (Ridgeway) is a rising junior superstar in this state.

Had enough.................................... not even close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday the action tips off with the Bolivar Central girls battling Memphis White Station at 3:30.

Minnesota signee Andre Hollins (White Station) leads the Spartans of White Station into action at 4:30 against Nashville Overton.

The Station looks to be strong again after a runner-up finish in last years Class AAA championship game.

Marvin Williams (White Station), a Lipscomb signee and Nino Johnson (White Station), a Southeast Missouri State signee give the Spartans plenty of firepower and if that were not enough, say hello to my little friend.....Leron Black (White Station), ok maybe not so little at 6'7 but one of the best Class of 2014 players in the country.

Tennessee baseball signee Mookie Betts (Overton) leads the Bobcats and a talented roster in their own right. Senior wing Justin Perry (Overton), senior inside warrior Frankie Labasco (Overton) and point man Cameron Lewis (Overton) make Overton a threat.

At 6:00 Liberty Tech battles Maplewood in another battle of the state's Class AA final four from last season.

Ryan Yeates (Liberty Tech) will be asked to do a multitude of things this season for the Crusaders.

Maplewood lost some players to the college ranks from last season's squad but return senior wing Jaleel Querry (Maplewood) and improving post Darryl Clack (Maplewood).

If that wasn't enough to whet your round ball delight the final contest of the weekend features the other two participants in last season's Class AA final four with Bolivar Central taking on Marshall County.

This is a must see and I hope everyone comes down for this clash of titans, I know I will.
