Big Efforts Across the State Highlight Week #8 Scoring List

devinsibley.jpg

Once again I have scoured the newspapers, faxes, twitters and other forms of media that come to my attention compiling a list of the top scorers in the state for each week of the season.

If you know of some scoring exploits or a scoring milestone such as 1,000 point club or something of that nature please email me at andre@tnprephoops.com and I will get this added to the next week’s story.

If you know of someone who scored over 25 points and they did not make the list please let me know and I will add them to the following weeks list.

College coaches have told me this is one of their favorite features as it helps them get an understanding on the pulse of the new season.

Matt Lineberry (Frank Hughes) and James Keith (Fayetteville) produced their way into their respective schools record books by passing the coveted 1,000 point mark.

Jake Allsmiller (CPA) keep putting his name deep into the national high school record books. The Georgia Southern signee dropped his 400th three this past week moving him into the top 20 of all time.

Devin Sibley (Karns) has clearly put in his resume as the best player in the East Tennessee landscape. The Furman signee had a solid week notching 32 in a district win over Powell and closing with 26 in another hard fought district clash against Knoxville Halls.

Mikkel Normant (Fayette-Ware) is scorching the score books in West Tennessee. The rising sophomore had a most productive week scoring 30 in a win over Bolivar Central then adding 34 in a district win over Chester County.

Marlon Hunter (Houston) is straight moving up the rankings. The rising junior had another stellar week scoring 33 in a win over Kirby and busting 27 in a loss to city and district rival Germantown.

Kevaughn Russell (Hunter's Lane) wants some attention. Not since the days of Josh Henley have the scoring numbers been so vivid as Mr. Russell dropped a cool 35 against Nashville Overton and closed the week tough with 27 against Cane Ridge.

A player is a player. Caleb Hollander (Nashville Central Christian) is a player. The home school phenom had a decadent week scoring 26 against Nashville Christian, adding 36 against Lipscomb Academy and closing with 31 against a Knoxville Home School squad.

Jordan Brown (Middle College) can score. Tucked away in the Class A ranks, Brown is proving to be one of the top scorers in the Memphis area. Brown notched 27 against MBA then followed with 34 against MSE.
