Just like they drew it up.

A showdown in the state AAU finals of the 15 and under division.

The opponents the Memphis YOMCA vs. the Tennessee Travelers.

East vs. West.

You get the idea.

The Tennessee Travelers overcoming a tough start bested the Y 55-43 to capture the 15 and under state crown at Bishop Byrne in Memphis.

Things looked bleak as the Travs fell behind 11-2 to start things off but as they chipped into the lead things began to fall into place.

Craig "The Professor" Bradshaw (Greenbrier)  led by example scoring and making plays with his exceptional brand of hustle.

Coaches sighted Matt Shown (Alcoa) for a solid showing in the title game and Cory "C.J." Nelson (Grace Baptist) for his athletic contributions in the title game victory.

Tanner Torres (Anderson County) was a saving grace providing quality minutes running the squad and scoring some key buckets while Jaylen Allen (Science Hill) was saddled with foul issues.

Allen was a steady force the entire weekend and Braylen "Vitamin B" Bennett (Carter) showed glimpses of complete domination on the defensive end and on the glass.

This win prepares the Travelers for a great seed at the upcoming 15 and under Nationals to be held in Clarksville on July 12 thru 15th.
