This was the one that mattered.
Reece Chamberlain (Beech) scored 22 points while his decision making and leadership helped lead the Bucs to a 67-48 victory over Franklin and secured the orange and blue a spot in the AAA state tournament next week in Murfreesboro.
Chamberlain was clutch draining a three at the halftime buzzer and dropping some pin point dimes to classmate John Taylor (Beech), who would finish with 16 points and 12 boards.
Franklin got 16 each from seniors Peyton Henry and Michael Young and concluded a spectacular four year run for the Rebel seniors. James Haddix, Daniel Miller-McLemore and Reed Glover, along with the aforementioned Young and Henry will long be remembered in Rebel folklore for thier exploits on the hardwood and for being first class student/athletes off the court.
