The night the lights went off in Pigeon Forge.
Andy Barnett (Piegon Forge) scored 27 points leading the Tigers of Pigeon Forge past a determined Gibbs squad in district action on Tuesday night.
The game was delayed in the first quarter, with Barnett at the foul line the lights went off and play was halted for a good 30 minutes.
Upon their return the Tigers carved out a nice 41-28 halftime lead and seemed well on their way to an easy district win.
Jay Cade (Gibbs) caught fire for the Eagles bringing them back and with almost 3 minutes left on the game clock Gibbs had carved the Tigers lead to six.
Timley hoops from Barnett and fellow senior Curtis Jordan (Pigeon Forge) kept the margin as the Tigers grabbed the final score of 80-67.
Barnett led all scorers with 27, while Jordan chipped in with 21 in the victory. Wil Crowe (Pigeon Forge) added 15 in the victory.
Cade, who finished with 26, led the Eagles while Hunter Hopson (Gibbs) finished with 13 points and several timely rebounds and assists.
