Ballerz Ball at Real Deal……….16’s Make Final Four

Nothing like motivation.

Team Texas to advance to the final eight.....Amare Stoudamires Team Stat to make an appearance in the final four...who would have thunk it.

The Mid-State Ballerz 16's thats who.

Real Deal on the Hill saw the emergence of the Mid-State Ballerz 16 and under squad as they cruised through pool play and found the heart and soul to get to the final four before falling to the eventual champion.

Thomas Greer (West Carroll), Tarius Johnson (Liberty Tech), KaNeal Windon (JCM), Demarius Smith (Kenwood) and Cordero Williams (Liberty Tech) were the stalwarts helping lead this Ballerz surge.

Johnson was outstanding using his athletic ability and never quit attitude to average around 20 per for the event. Greer continues to be a superb scorer and very deceptive opponent who often gets underestimated by his defender till he sticks it in their eye.

In the 17 and under division more success for the Ballerz as the South squad advanced to the Sweet 16 of the championship bracket behind inspired play from their usual suspects Nathan Parker (Bearden), Chase Jones (Austin East), Deonte Twilley (Shelbyville), DeShun Carter (Mississippi) and Skylar McBee (Rutledge).

Special mention was made for newcomer Eric Mosby (Indiana) for his efforts this weekend and big Sam Watson (Farragut) who once again was forced to carry the workload inside but responded splendidly with a gaggle of rebounds including a game high 17 during pool play.

The Ballerz also got representation from another member of the stable the Ballerz East. This group showed heart and made it to the consolation round before falling. Trey Carouthers (Harpeth), Tyler Edwards (Oakland), Marlin Dotson (Liberty Tech) and Aaron Wilson (Kentucky) made their respective presences felt this weekend.
