Adonis Thomas (Melrose) left no doubt the old adage of "the cream rises to the top" was accurate.
The Memphis signee was instrumental in leading the Golden Wildcats to two big time wins this week.
Thomas tossed in 19 points as Melrose avenged an early season loss to White Station with a 63-59 win and then dangled 21 points as the Golden Wildcats avenged another early season defeat this time against Memphis Central 55-40.
Melrose is clearly playing well as the regular season is coming to a close and that could spell doom for all those involved.
