The inaugural 423 Hoops Fall League tipped this past Saturday at lovely Daniel Boone High School. Eight teams will comprise the league with 8 players per squad. Rules will be identical to the Rocky Top Fall League.
Here is how the action went down in Week #1
Team Potts 64
Team Duggar 55
Braden Ilic (Morristown East) dropped 19 markers as Team Potts took the first game in 423 Hoops Fall League history to the tune of 64-55.
Kyle Cloninger (Morristown East) was magnificent scoring 17 points and controlling tempo throughout the contest.
Dawson Wagner (David Crockett) added 11 for the victors.
Reid Satterfield (Greeneville) led all scorers with 22 points in the loss.
Team D. Percell 59
Team A. Percell 54
Eli Johnson (Unicoi County) and Braydon Minton (Volunteer) dropped 16 points apiece as Team Percell got the victory over his sibling in a tight 59-54 contest.
Joey Hancock (Morristown West) and Grant Hensley (Unicoi County) added 11 each in the victory.
Joltin Harrison (Volunteer) led with 16 in the loss.
Andrew Knittel (Volunteer) added 13.
Team Smith 82
Team Jackson 60
Malachi Hale (Dobyns-Bennett) was a dominant force scoring 25 markers and snatching 9 caroms to lead Team Smith to an 82-60 triumph at the 423 Hoops Fall League.
Joining Hale in the scoring column were Greg Allen (Dobyns-Bennett) with 16, Bradley Owens (Twin Springs) with 12 and Connor Lane (Twin Springs) with 11.
Brady Stump (Dobyns-Bennett) had a nice game inn defeat scoring a team high 16.
Cy Mincey (Jefferson County) added 12 while Jack Browder (Dobyns-Bennett) and Talan Higgens (Jefferson County) closed with 10.
Team Hopson 84
Team Fugate 74
Jamar Livingston (Science Hill) cast the first vote for league MVP dropping a league high 37 points as Team Hopson got the win 84-74 over Team Fugate.
Livingston was big on the glass as well grabbing 13 boards in the win.
Nevada Goodwin (Daniel Boone) contributed 14 while Dalvin Mathes (Science Hill) and Creed Musick (Daniel Boone) concluded with 12 and 10 respectively.
Duda Antonio (Science Hill) had himself a solid debut. The newcomer scored a team high 21 points in the loss.
Brandon Dufore (Tennessee) played large scoring 19 marker while Keynan Cutlip (Science Hill) added 16 in the loss.
