Will he stay or will he go?
Depends on who you ask.
Keelon Lawson (Hamilton) became the first player in the Class of 2015 in Tennessee to pledge his commitment to Josh Pastner and the Tigers of Memphis.
In the meantime speculation that the brothers, Keelon and his younger rising junior cohort Dedric Lawson (Hamilton) would be heading to a prep school in Florida.
As of now with former Hamilton coach and the father of the boys, Keelon Lawson Sr. taking an assistant coaching position with the Memphis staff it looks the boys will stay put in Memphis.
Lawson had a magical summer playing for the powerful Team Penny organization in the Nike EYBL.
Lawson led Penny to the finals of the prestigious Peach Jam and moved his way up the national rankings with his efforts.
Lawson continues the recent trend of Memphis area high school players staying put and bringing their talents to the American Athletic Conference newcomers.
Lawson is a highly skilled guard/forward who can score from the perimeter; as well as, drop shots inside the paint with his length and knack for cleaning up the offensive boards.
Another quality get for Coach Pastner and the Tigers.
