Post Christmas tournaments always bring out the best in the communities and bring new teams to areas they normally never venture towards.
The 27th annual Arby's Classic is no exception.
This years field is another solid grouping of teams from all over the world.
Headlining this years event will be Memphis Melrose and their deep and talented West Tennessee bunch led by super junior Adonis Thomas (Melrose), "Mighty" Chris Jones (Melrose) and Bobby Parks Jr. (Melrose).
Joining Melrose from our state are the following schools:
Murfreesboro Seigel, who has encountered some bad luck losing their top two scorers, Kerry Hammonds (Siegel) and Levon Tate (Siegel) to injury, but still have some firepower to compete.
Chattanooga Brainerd and a solid guard tandem of Dammius Bennett (Brainerd) and Anthony Broome (Brainerd).
Jordan Cross (Sullivan East) leads the patriots who are off to one of their best starts ever.
Science Hill led by superb underclassmen Jaylen Allen (Science Hill) and super frosh Shannon Hale (Science Hill).
The host team Tennessee High and senior guard Taylor Harmon (Tennessee).
Matt Hale (Cherokee) leads the Chiefs into another Arby's Classic.
Dobyns Bennett will make the short trip to Viking Hall behind the talents of Adam Dennison (Dobyns Bennett) and Juwan Johnson (Dobyns Bennett).
Greeneville returns to the Arbys with another solid, well-coached squad led by Bryan Everhardt (Greenville) and Troy Hopson (Greeneville).
