What a great summer for the 15 and under age group thus far.
The Memphis Stallions captured the 15 and under nationals, while the Tennessee Travelers and Memphis YOMCA both made deep appearances in the various events they have attended thus far.
Today begins action in the vaunted 15 and under Super Showcase with the Travelers and YOMCA headlining the event for Tennessee.
The YOMCA finished strong at the nationals but stumbled in the quarterfinals playing their worst game of the summer. Leading the charge for the Y will be Andre Hollins (White Station), Wayne Martin (Florida) and Nino Johnson (Melrose).
The Travelers have had good success thus far in July advancing deep in the Hoosier Shootout and Kentucky Hoopfest. Galen Campbell (Bearden) has the most consistent of the Travs leading them in scoring the majority of the time. Lester Wilson (Knoxville Carter) and Tres Palmer (Powell) have also had their scoring outbursts, with Wilson dominating the early portion of the Hoosier Shootout.
Guard play has been strong led by Brandon Lopez (Austin East), Jordan Cross (Sullivan East) and Rico White (Bearden).
Also representing the state at the Showcase the Memphis Hawgs and Tennessee Mavericks.
